I-15 Islamabad Map
Sector I-15 was launched in 2005 and officially inaugurated by PM Yousuf Raza Gillani. Initially, The builders sold 5600 residential plots of 5 and 8 marla sizes and 8000 flats to the general public. Later on, due to some design changes and cost escalation, CDA announced a policy to allot residential plots instead of flats in sector I-15 or refund the paid amount to the allottees of apartments. CDA managed to refund money to about 4000 allottees. At the same time, the remaining 4000 were given five marla residential plots instead of their flats. Authority re-designed the plan, structural designs, and infrastructure of the entire Sector I-15 for the various categories of plots. To streamline and resolve the project hurdles and issues, CDA requested the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (PEPA)’ for Environmental Approval.
They invited all stakeholders to weigh the environmental concerns mentioned in an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report. CDA held a public hearing of Interested and affected persons on August 19, 2019. CDA ensured optimistically that PEPA would be issued NOC shortly in this regard. To address the problems faced by those allotted plots and stuck in Sector I-15 for a decade. The present management of CDA prioritized its core responsibility for the infrastructure development work in the stalled Sectors. For the infrastructure development work in Sector I-15, CDA-DWP approved the PC-I amounting to Rs.5656.24 million.
